Our Histroy
Centrepoint Supply Chain Solutions Limited (CP) is a technology-enabled warehousing, distribution and sales solutions provider based in Ghana. The company has the strategic ambition to be the leading Managed Warehousing and Distribution Solutions Provider in West Africa. Centrepoint ’s initial focus is to be the premier third-party logistics (3PL) provider for Multinational Corporations (MNCs) looking to enter and/or expand throughout the Sub-Saharan African region and local African Companies looking to optimize/outsource their logistics operations. Centrepoint’s solutions/service offering will include core logistics services such as Sales, Managed Warehousing/Contract Logistics, Supply Chain Consultancy, Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Haulage, and Last Mile Delivery. Subsequently, the business intends to establish footprint in major trade lanes, industrial enclaves, and supply routes in the West Africa region on a short-, medium- and long-term rental basis to various industry verticals.
Centrepoint Supply Chain Solutions Ltd was incorporated in December 2019. It was birthed after a group of shareholders and partners joined forces to acquire some Assets from Cummins Ghana Limited in support of their desire to solve a critical logistics need- that is the absence of racked and Integrative warehousing solutions faced my most multinationals in Ghana.
In Q4 2019, following a change in Supply Chain Strategy, Cummins announced the closure of its West Africa Regional Distribution (DC) business located in Ghana. Through a selective bidding process, Centrepoint won the right to purchase Cummins’s assets related to the regional DC and these assets formed the base of the business’s initial business setup. The purchase of the Assets and the subsequent signing of a Three (3) year lease agreement with Agility Distribution Parks Ghana Ltd served as the launch pad on which the success story of Centrepoint has been built.
Centrepoint prides itself as having the required knowledge and expertise in running complex warehousing and Distribution models both from an infrastructure and human capital perspective in Ghana. Centrepoint (CP) is presently head quartered at the Agility Distribution Park, located in the Port city of Tema, Ghana. Its key customers are in such key industries as The Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Energy Resource and Industrials, Retail, Life Science and Health Care, Construction and the Services sectors.
